MILIR

MILIR is a proud celebration marking Tamil Mandram’s journey as it steps into its next year at Kalasalingam Academy of Research and Education (KARE).
✨ It reflects the growth, dedication, and cultural vibrance of the club through traditional performances, creative expressions, and student-led events that honor the spirit of Tamil heritage.

🔹 The event serves as a platform for students to showcase their talents in music, dance, oratory, and drama, rooted in Tamil tradition.

🔹 MILIR strengthens the bond among students by celebrating unity in culture and encouraging participation across all departments.

ARAM

Tamil Mandram at KARE to celebrate Teachers’ Day with warmth, gratitude, and cultural pride. This celebration is dedicated to appreciating the invaluable contributions of our faculty members.
🔹 On this day, we conduct a variety of fun and engaging events exclusively for teaching Staffs
🔹 Activities include games, cultural performances, and light-hearted competitions designed to entertain and honor our educators.
🔹 Winners and participants are recognized with prizes and tokens of appreciation as a gesture of our respect and thanks

MAHATHMA

At KARE, Tamil Mandram celebrates Gandhi Jayanthi not just as a tribute to the Father of the Nation, but as a meaningful cultural experience.
🔹 On this day, we organize a traditional tour for students to visit nearby villages, heritage sites, or culturally significant locations that reflect Gandhian values and Tamil traditions.
🔹 Students engage in cleanliness drives, interact with local communities, and participate in cultural activities that promote simplicity, self-reliance, and social harmony.

🔹 The tour fosters awareness about Gandhi’s principles, encourages community bonding, and gives students a chance to reconnect with rural roots and Tamil cultural identity.

ROWTHIRAM

At KARE, Tamil Mandram organizes Bharathiyar Vizha to celebrate the life, legacy, and literary brilliance of Mahakavi Subramania Bharathiyar, one of Tamil Nadu’s greatest poets and freedom fighters.

🔹 The event features recitations of Bharathiyar’s fiery poems on freedom, women empowerment, equality, and nationalism, bringing his words to life for the younger generation.
🔹 Students participate in speech competitions, themed skits, kavithai recitals, and musical performances based on Bharathi’s works.
🔹 The celebration encourages students to reflect on Bharathiyar’s vision for a just, progressive, and united India while promoting pride in Tamil literature and identity.

PAAVAI VIZHA

At KARE, Tamil Mandram organizes Aandaal Vizha to honor the legacy of Sri Aandaal, the only female Alwar and a symbol of devotion, purity, and Tamil literary brilliance.
🔹 The event includes recitations of Thiruppavai, devotional songs composed by Aandaal that reflect divine love and spiritual awakening.
🔹 Students perform classical dances, storytelling, and poetry readings that celebrate Aandaal’s contributions to Tamil Bhakti literature.
🔹 The event creates a spiritual and cultural atmosphere on campus, highlighting the rich traditions of Tamil devotional heritage and the role of women in shaping it.

PONGAL

Tamil Mandram at KARE organizes Pongal Vizha every year with vibrant traditions, colorful attire, and cultural pride to honor Tamil Nadu’s harvest festival.
🔹 The campus comes alive with traditional decorations, kolams, and sugarcane stalls, creating a festive village-like atmosphere.
🔹 Events include uriyadi (pot-breaking), tug of war, pongal-making competitions, folk dances, and paraiattam that showcase Tamil rural culture.
🔹 Students and staff come together dressed in ethnic wear, sharing sweet Pongal and celebrating gratitude for nature, farming, and community spirit.

TAMIZHI

Tamil Mandram at KARE proudly celebrates Tamizhi on World Mother Tongue Day to honor the richness, elegance, and global significance of the Tamil language.
🔹 The event features language-themed competitions such as kavithai (poetry), essay writing, debate, and speech contests highlighting the beauty of Tamil.
🔹 Students showcase their creativity and pride through storytelling, drama, and classical Tamil literature recitations.

🔹 The celebration aims to preserve linguistic diversity and deepen students’ connection to their roots, promoting awareness of Tamil as one of the oldest living languages in the world.

VALAM

At KARE, Tamil Mandram celebrates the Tamil Puthandu (New Year) through the vibrant event “Valam”, reflecting hope, renewal, and Tamil cultural richness.

🔹 Valam showcases the essence of Tamil heritage through traditional art forms, devotional music, and folk dance performances.
🔹 The celebration includes poetry recitations, drama, and interactive cultural games that bring out the festive spirit of the Tamil New Year.
🔹 Students and staff come together to exchange wishes, wear traditional attire, and participate in rituals that mark the beginning of an auspicious year.
